THE curse of the OASIS drummer has struck again.
RINGO STARR’s son ZAK STARKEY will not record on any additional tracks on singles from their forthcoming album.
Word from inside the camp is that Zak might never play the pots and pans for the Manc lads again. A source said: “There have been arguments with NOEL GALLAGHER and general disagreements. It looks like the album will be his last involvement with the band.”
Bizarre Lord Noel has a reputation for going through drummers like dirty socks.
He binned both TONY McCARROLL and ALAN WHITE when he felt their time had come.

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has always paid a lot of attention to his locks.
But it appears that his pursuit of the perfect rocker hairstyle has led him to take inspiration from a decidedly unusual source.
Liam's debuted his graduated pudding bowl bob - which looked remarkably similar to that worn by cake doyenne and actress Jane Asher in 1998 - on a trip to the shops in Hampstead, north London, to buy champagne at his local Londis store.
Unfortunately, his makeover didn't extend to taming his trademark unruly eyebrows.
Asher, who is currently starring in Holby City as Lady Byrne, was once the girlfriend of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.
Liam's love of the Beatles is well documented, but copying an ex-girlfriend's hairdo might just be a form of fan worship too far.
During her five-year relationship with Sir Paul, who she was engaged to, Asher was credited as the inspiration for songs such as 'Here, There and Everywhere', 'I'm Looking Through You', 'We Can Work It Out', 'And I Love Her', and 'All My Loving'.
The actress has been married to cartoonist Gerald Scarfe since 1981.
Liam's immaculately blow-dried barnet is somewhat at odds with his reputation as a hard-living frontman for group Oasis.
Beatle love: Jane Asher with Sir Paul McCartney in 1966, they were together for five years.
But the father of three, appears to have quietened down of late, and is enjoying a more domesticated life with singer wife Nicole Appleton, formerly of girl group All Saints.
The couple were married in a secret Valentine's Day ceremony at London's Westminster Register Office, where Sir Paul McCartney married first wife Linda in 1969 - in front of fewer than a dozen guests.
He also married first wife Patsy Kensit there in 1997.
Nicole has been credited with taming the Oasis singer since they began dating.
They have a seven-year-old son Gene together, while Liam also has son Lennon, eight, with Patsy, and a nine-year-old daughter Molly with singer Lisa Moorish.
A source said: "They felt like they were married anyway. But he decided it was the right time and the wedding was completely hush-hush."

Oasis' Noel Gallagher has slammed Manchester City FC owner Thaksin Shinawatra for his apparent plan to sack the club's current manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Gallagher an avid City fan, said that sacking the manager, which Shinawatra is expected to do soon, would be against all the wishes of Manchester City fans.
Speaking to BBC Radio Five Live Gallagher said: "To get rid of him [Eriksson] after the best season I can remember is ridiculous. It can't be for any footballing reasons.
"For a club that's been going nowhere fast for the last 25 years, with a manager who's the best out there bar Jose Mourinho… he turned it around and gave us a bit of style and dignity and grace. He bought some great players. The fans have got pride back in the club… I just think it's beyond a joke.
"We've got a manager who's got style. If the owner thought they could come in and qualify for the Champions League straight away then he's tripping. It'd be like sacking David Moyes at Everton or Martin O'Neill at Aston Villa because they didn't qualify. It takes more than one season.
"Eriksson is a graceful and dignified man. This guy Shinawatra has come in and he seems like a bit of a nutcase. The only thing that will get him off the hook is if he's got Mourinho lined up. Apart from Mourinho Eriksson's the best thing out there.
"I'd be amazed and appalled if I met a City fan who thought getting rid of Eriksson was a good thing. They all love him up there. I'd give him a big kiss and say, 'You know what, you take them to the cleaners.'"

Paul Weller -- the former frontman for '70s/'80s sensations the Jam -- will release his ninth studio album, '22 Dreams' on June 24. The effort will feature an array of Britpop guests including Oasis' Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer, and Blur co-founder Graham Coxon, among others.
Counting 21 tracks, '22 Dreams' will be preceded in the by a Double A-sided single, 'Echoes Round the Sun'/'Have You Made Up Your Mind' on May 26. 'Echoes' is the first-ever songwriting collaboration between Gallagher and his boyhood hero Weller. The Modfather and Gallagher previously recorded together in 1995 as part of the supergroup, the Smoking Mojo Filters, which also included Craddock and Paul McCartney performing the Beatles' 'Come Together' on the Warchild Charity Album 'Help'.
Weller has only one North American date confirmed thus far. He will perform alongside the likes of Gallagher's Oasis, Stereophonics and the Weakerthans on September 7 in Toronto's Island Park, on the second day of the Virgin Music Festival.

Phil Collins may have retired from music but that hasn’t stopped him getting involved in a feud with another musician.
The Genesis man has reopened an old argument with Noel Gallgher, who previously attacked him for his political views.
Before the 2005 General Election in the UK, Gallagher said: "Vote Labour: if you don't and the Tories get in, [Collins] is threatening to come back from Switzerland, and none of us want that."
In a interview with The Times Collins responded to the comment, saying: "I don't care if he likes my music or not. I do care if he starts telling people I'm a wanker because of my politics.
“It's an opinion based on an old misunderstood quote."

BlackBook Media
Earlier today, a concerned gentleman e-mailed BlackBook demanding I issue an apology for my post on Noel Gallagher’s negative reaction to Jay-Z headlining Glastonbury (the gentleman doesn't think it's right). Apparently the article was picked up by an Oasis fansite, causing the minions of Oasis Nation to unleash their wrath upon me in the comments. Throughout the day, my colleagues and I shared laughs over gems such as: “ben barna you have your head jammed up or [sic] politically correct ass,” while another lauded “Classic idiocy from a low-grade journalist who clearly hasn’t done their research.” At least they consider me a journalist. Thanks guys! See the comments yourself for the full effect. What pissed them off so much, was that apparently I called the fragile Mr. Gallagher a racist.
I have since learned that you cannot use such a loaded term when discussing someone as beloved as Noel, which is why Emily Eavis, co-founder of Glastonbury, tip-toed around it. Allow me to address those upset by the post, in all caps, so you don’t miss it this time: EMILY EAVIS INSINUATED THAT NOEL GALLAGHER’S COMMENTS WERE RACIALLY MOTIVATED. I SAID THEY WERE NOT. I SAID THEY WERE BASED ON JEALOUSY. Read the last sentence again, and maybe you’ll get it. Take your time, no rush. What I found so delicious about this whole episode is that everyone who isn’t a rabid Oasis fan (i.e. doesn’t spend their time on Oasis fan forums) didn’t interpret the post as a anti-Gallagher smear. Meaning, fans let their commendable passion for Noel Gallagher and his band override those equally commendable reading comprehension skills.
I am a huge fan of Oasis—I grew up with their music, and I love the Gallagher brothers. Noel is a brilliant songwriter, and Liam has one of the most distinct voices in modern rock. Five years ago, after leaving the hospital after an 18-day stay, the first song I listened to on my walk home was “Cast No Shadow.” It was inspiring. But, having said that, I will never ever let my love for Oasis alter the way I read and understand sentences. That would be dangerous and irresponsible. But I’m glad you guys do, because this last day has been an absolute hoot.

The Daily Record
COURTEENERS rocker Liam Fray is sick of being compared to Oasis star Liam Gallagher.
The Mancunian, whose band are currently in the Top 10 with debut album St Jude, has been accused of being just as lippy as his namesake following catty remarks about their rivals.
But despite having been inspired by the Gallagher brothers and hailed by U2 and Morrissey as the best British band to emerge since Oasis, the new Liam says he is tired of being tarred with the same brush as his predecessor.
He said: "Some people seem to think we are bad lad bruisers because we are from the north of England, but it is just southern media bias.
"I was inspired by Oasis, though. I remember being in the back of my dad's car when I was 10 and hearing Wonderwall for the first time and knowing that was what I wanted to do. None of our songs sound like Oasis, but people always say that.
"If you see Noel or Liam on the front of a magazine, you are going to buy it because they are funny.
"We are similar because we don't tell lies. There's no marketing campaign around us and no media training, as you can probably tell.
"We have wanted to do this since we were small, so to finally get the record out and for it to do well is buzzing.
"It is everything I have been working towards since I was in nursery. You choose your mates and the social circles and the albums you decide to nick off your pals at school shaped from that. It's an album that has been 22 years in the making."
Meanwhile, he says the fact the band are being criticised means they are already a success - but insists there's no Blur versus Oasis rivalry on the horizon.
Liam said: "As anybody starts to get successful, people try to shoot them down. But if they want to say negative stuff, we will just silence them with good songs."
The band have also announced another UK tour, which sees them play Dundee's Fat Sams (October 6) Glasgow's Barrowland (October 7).
They're also heading to T in the Park this summer for a show on the festival's Radio 1/NME stage on Saturday, July 12.

OASIS rocker NOEL GALLAGHER has slammed hip-hop star JAY-Z for daring to headline Britain's legendary Glastonbury festival - insisting he is not rock 'n' roll enough.
The Live Forever guitarist is blaming the rapper for the lack of tickets sold at this year's (Jun08) event, which managed to shift just 100,000 passes on the first day. The Wonderwall hitmaker has accused organisers of the event, which normally sells out in a matter of hours, of steering the festival too far away from its rock 'n' roll roots. He says, "If it ain't broke don't fix it. "If you start to break it then people aren't going to go. I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance. "Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go 'Kylie Minogue?' "I don't know about it. But I'm not having hip hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong." Oasis headlined the main stage at Glastonbury in 1995 and 2004, with the event selling out on both occasions. 14/04/2008 12:44

Former All Saints Melanie Blatt and Nicole Appleton-Gallagher take their kid, Lilyella, 9, and Gene, 7, to Disneyland in France.
Nicole married Gene’s dad, Oasis star Liam Gallagher, on Valentine’s Day.
I can’t believe the kids are being carried around his buggies. Disneyland might not be a very “safe” place for kids because they can get lost, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of people in the park… and they are way too old for that anyway

Mirror
Their bouts of brotherly fisticuffs are legendary. But hard-knock Liam Gallagher had better think twice before squaring up to Noel in future - now that his big brother is armed and dangerous...
We can sensationally reveal that 40-year-old Noel - supposedly one of the last true rock 'n' rollers - has been stocking up on guns in LA so that he can follow his country pursuits as a tweed-wearing toff.
Noel, who is in LA recording the next Oasis album, is so excited about his new past-time, he has been texting his pal Tom Meighan - lead singer of Kasabian - to tell him all about it.
A baffled Tom, 27, tells us: "He sent me a text about going shooting in America, and about how scared he was of shooting himself.
"I've not heard from Noel in a while, so as soon as he's finished recording in LA it would be nice to meet up and find out what happened. He was going to get some guns and rifles I think. It was supposed to be a leisurely day out or hobby to get stuck into."
Yet Noel is not the only rocker with aspirations to be an English gent. At last month's Brits the Arctic Monkeys turned up in country attire, all breaches and flat-caps.
And let's not forget who kicked off the craze - 49-year-old Madonna. She and hubby Guy Ritchie used to invite Brad Pitt and Vinnie Jones - who taught her to shoot in the first place - to their estate on the Wiltshire-Dorset border to join them in their, er, country pursuits.
Of course, Noel could just be arming himself for protection incase he has any more run-ins with ageing Grease heroes.
We revealed yesterday how he had a knife pulled on him by Jeff Conaway - aka Kenickie - backstage at a Marilyn Manson gig in LA.
Tom adds: "I heard about that. How mad is that, having Kenickie from Grease pull a knife out on you?"
Some Might Say it's completely nuts.

English rocker Keith Richards says that he does not like the kind of music modern bands compose.
Launching an attack on bands like Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, the Richards said that he prefers listening to country and blues genres.
The The Rolling Stones star insists that these are the genres that should be on vinyl.
I dont listen to whats going on. I dont like CDs, quite honestly. They sound tinny to me, British tabloid Daily Express quoted him as telling Uncut magazine in an interview about Shine A Light, Martin Scorseses documentary about the band.
Ive not even heard the Arctic Monkeys. I know of them but I dont know anything theyve done. I didnt like Oasis, I didnt like the Sex Pistols, I dont like any of those English rocknroll bands. Theyre all c***, the 64-year-old star said.
The report also suggested that Richards was not keeping track of his rocknroll contemporaries.
When he was asked to comment on the recent Led Zeppelin reunion concert, Richards said: They had one? Well, well done, Jimmy and Robert.
