Reserve Price £16,500
As L4e reported to you over the last few weeks number of iconic photographs of Oasis are set to be sold at auction in London today (July 1).
The collection of 22 photographs were taken by Jill Furmanovsky around 1996, and were originally featured in her 'Was There Then' exhibition (for which Noel Gallagher came up with the title).
They are set to go under the hammer at Christies.
The 22 images are being sold as a collection with a reserve price of £16,500.
The collection comes with the original programme signed by Oasis, and a copy of Furmanovsky's exhibition-accompanying book 'Oasis: Was There Then', which is now out of print.

Hundreds of unofficial Oasis T-shirts which were sold outside the band's Manchester gigs are being donated to an international aid project.
Trading standards officers at the city council seized more than 1,300 counterfeit tops from illegal traders during the three gigs this month.
The council said they are being sent to International Aid Trust charity.
The charity removes logos before sending them to needy people in Eastern Europe, Africa and India.
A further 654 counterfeit posters will also be recycled.
The city council's trading standards officers have seized more than 56,000 counterfeit items since April, with many recycled.
CDS and DVDs are wiped and re-used and bottles with counterfeit vodka are recycled.
The Oasis concerts were the biggest events at Heaton Park since the Pope's visit in 1982.

A series of evocative prints of Oasis in their Britpop pomp are set to be auctioned soon by Christie's.
Try as they might, Oasis cannot escape the magnetic pull of their mid 90s glory. Despite replacing the entire band, the Gallaghers are continually reminded of their effortless rise to fame, more than a decade on from the release of 'Definitely Maybe'.
Perhaps it was their visual appeal. The band's blend of Mod and Casual fashion both echoed and influenced street fashion, with Liam Gallagher in particular becoming an idol to almost an entire generation.
Photographer Jill Formanovsky was granted permission to shoot the band on an almost daily basis. As Oasis toured the world she was there, with her lens recording some pivotal moments in the band's history.
Gathered as the collection 'Was There Then' an exhibition in 1997 showed her work to the world. Formanovsky seemed capable of capturing unique moments of chemistry within the band, focussing on the dynamic relationship between the Gallaghers.
Now images from that collection are set to be auctioned by Christie's in London. Containing twenty two images the set are all original prints from Furmanovsky’s ground-breaking ‘Was There Then’ exhibition originally shown in the Roundhouse London and Tramway in Glasgow in 1997.
The new collection comes with a program signed by the band themselves, as well as a copy of the book ‘Oasis Was There Then’ which is long out of print.
The massive prints result in one of the most complete photographic documents of Oasis available. With a reserve price of £16,500 this may well be out of the price range of most fans, but we can dream can't we?
Discussing her work with Oasis the photographer said of Noel Gallagher that "I think both Gallaghers are extremely attractive in different ways, but Noel is looking seriously like Steve McQueen or Paul Newman these days. Very strong face, very direct gaze - a man not a boy".
Also in the sale is an A0 Iris print of Pink Floyd’s The Wall 1980, and a silver gelatin fibre print of Johnny Ramone and Johnny Rotten circa 1977.
Jill Furmanovsky's vintage Oasis print collection is due to be sold by Christie's in London on July 1st.

Liam Gallagher has dissed suggestions he is to make his movie debut.
The Oasis frontman was reported to be planning an appearance in a screen version of the rock 'n' roll novel Powder.
But a statement from Oasis said the story was "simply not true", adding: "Liam has no plans to be involved on any level with the project."

Roll up, roll up for a clash between the gobbiest man in rock and rap's motormouth...
The Mirror reveals that Kanye West will be performing alongside Noel Gallagher at the iTunes festival at Camden's Roundhouse on July 7.
Noel famously dissed Kanye's mentor Jay-Z for playing Glasto last year.
Now it's Kanye who's joining a rock lineup that includes Oasis, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand and Kasabian.
We're told: "Kanye won't take it lying down if Noel disses him for playing rap.
He was fuming when Noel disrespected Jay."
Ooh, get us front-row seats right now!

Britney Spears gives Liam Gallagher a tongue-lashing
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is never one to shy away from starting a ruck. So it's a surprise to hear that he found himself on the receiving end of a tongue-lashing from none other than Britney Spears.
Celebrities at war: Britney Spears complained about Liam Gallagher's raucous behaviour
The pop princess got the hump with the 36-year-old Manc after he threw an all-night party at the Four Seasons hotel in Dublin, the city where both had been performing.
Brit complained that their party was too noisy and Liam was being “inconsiderate”.
Needless to say, he didn't take much notice. We're told: “Liam was with members of the Prodigy, along with the Appleton sisters, and decided to have a really boozy session when they got back to the hotel. They started off in the hotel's Ice Bar and then moved on to the lobby.
As Britney entered the hotel they were being really loud and raucous, which was why she went mad. She started shouting saying that it was ridiculous that they were being so loud and inconsiderate.”
But her rant did little to stop the party — and even led to a typical Liam jibe when hotel staff intervened. Our spy added: “Liam just scoffed at her, and was overheard saying to hotel staff Britney who?' before continuing to party. This made Britney really mad and her dad Jamie had to step in to try and sort it all out. By this time Britney had stormed off.”
The Womanizer singer, 27, trudged off to her penthouse suite so she could have more privacy. Liam was without the diplomatic influence of older brother Noel. Apparently the pair have been arguing on tour and are staying in separate hotels. A spokesman for Oasis refused to comment today.

MURRAYFIELD should not be allowed to stage any more non-sporting events following trouble at last week's Oasis concert, the council has been told.
In an emergency motion which will go before councillors tomorrow officials have been urged to scrap future high-profile events.
Senior Conservative councillor Jeremy Balfour, who represents the Corstorphine/Murrayfield ward, launched the appeal after speaking to local residents following last Wednesday's gig.
As well as trouble inside the stadium, those living in and around Murrayfield complained of fighting, vandalism and people urinating in their gardens.
However, Scottish Rugby said it hoped to continue putting on a range of events.
Cllr Balfour said, in spite of council and police assurances to the contrary, locals' worst fears came true on the night, just as they did when the band played in the stadium nearly a decade ago.
He said: "It has been shown now that large concerts cannot be managed there, it is just impossible, and it should be kept for rugby and other sporting events only. I experienced it myself driving through as people were going to the concert, and having spoken to residents I think something should be done.
"I appreciate the police did their best but you are never going to be able to control a crowd like that."
Murrayfield has hosted numerous live music events over the years, including the Live 8 concert and acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but it seemed to be the crowd who follow Oasis who caused the most trouble.
Cllr Balfour added: "The people who lived in the area last time the band played knew what to expect, and that is what happened."
He appears to have support of local people.
Murrayfield Community Council secretary Milton Park said: "There are always problems with large music events, and Oasis was an exceptional example.
"Of all the main events the only one we haven't had problems with was the G8 concert, which was very well organised and policed.
"Far and away residents' biggest complaint is people using as a urinal anywhere they please."
If the motion were to succeed, it would almost certainly mean the city losing a number of high profile events to Glasgow, undoing years of hard work across the Capital to stage concerts featuring the world's biggest bands as well as sporting events attracting the eyes of the world.
A spokesman for Scottish Rugby said: "Murrayfield has a proud history of hosting sporting and non-sporting events which have been an overwhelming success over many years.
"These contribute significantly to the city's economy which can be measured in the tens of millions.
"We have a healthy relationship with local residents, the council and the police, and before the Oasis gig we held a residents meeting where we informed them of what was being planned."

Post Chronicle
Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher became familiar with Scottish traditions before playing a gig in Edinburgh on Wednesday (17Jun09) - by learning how to cook haggis.
The Wonderwall legends headed to the city's Whiski bar on Tuesday (16Jun09) to get some Dutch courage before their sold-old show the following day.
And, after dealing with a string of excited fans, the rockers were eager to grab a quick cookery lesson - in the art of making Scotland's national dish.
Bar owner Gary Still tells the Daily Record newspaper, "They came in at about one but we didn't even realise it was them until five, when one of the workers recognised them. They just seemed like ordinary guys having a few drinks.
"They were all extremely pleasant, and dealt with the autograph hunters and people wanting photos very well. We've had bands in before, but those guys were the most famous yet.
"They went into the kitchen as well because they'd never seen a haggis before, so we cooked one for them so they could see how it was all done.
"We did generally leave them alone, and although a lot of people came up to speak to them, they were generally left in peace." (c) WENN

HE’S a rock ’n’ roll star, a fashion designer and now LIAM GALLAGHER is about to add film actor to his CV.
The OASIS frontman has signed up to appear in a movie about the music biz.
Gallagher has bagged a part in the big screen adaptation of KEVIN SAMPSON’s novel Powder, which tells the story of a band lured into a world of sex and drugs after making it big.
I can’t see that being too much of a stretch for the lad.
Once his touring commitments are out of the way in August, Liam will get down to work with Sampson, who used to manage Scouse outfit THE FARM, and start learning his lines.
The size of his role is yet to be finalised. But he will be sharing the screen with veteran dance music star GURU JOSH.
Josh — real name PAUL WALDEN — who had a 1990 hit with track Infinity, wrote on his website: “Guru Josh will act as himself alongside co-star Liam Gallagher.
“Is the world ready for Liam Gallagher and Guru Josh together on the silver screen? Is Liam Gallagher ready for Guru Josh?”

The post-Slane celebrations continued into the early hours when Oasis star Liam Gallagher and The Prodigy stepped out for a meal at Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse and Grill.
The rockers were accompanied to the restaurant by their wives -- All Saint sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton -- and their children, as well as the girls' former band-mate Melanie Blatt, who had all jetted into town for the Meath gig.
Hell's Kitchen star Marco picked up the tab for the group, after he and business partner Geraldine Fitzgerald met the stars for lunch at the Four Season's earlier that afternoon. The celebrity chef, who had to fly back to London due to work commitments that evening, hit it off so well with the rockers that he invited them to enjoy dinner at his restaurant on him.
Passers-by spotted Liam Gallagher standing outside the Dawson Street restaurant having a cigarette.
Spat
The Oasis legend, (36) who appeared to be on great form despite his spat with brother Noel, was more than happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs.
The margaritas were flowing as the music stars enjoyed steaks and oysters, while the children tucked into fish and chips. According to other diners at the restaurant, there was none of the rock and roll behaviour you'd expect of the group. Nicole (34) is married to Liam Gallagher, while the Prodigy's Liam Howlett is married to Natalie (36) and the famous gang are regularly spotted socialising together in London.
Liam's brother Noel was nowhere to be seen however, with the two Oasis stars believed to have gone their separate ways immediately after the Meath show, to avoid any further confrontations.
The singers did not attend the exclusive after-party hosted by Lord Henry Mount Charles in Slane castle after the gig and even stayed in separate hotels.
The foursome and their respective family members and their entourage, as well as fellow The Prodigy band members, Keith Flint and Max Reality meanwhile, have been staying at the plush Four Seasons hotel in Ballsbridge since Friday.
The stars are said to have thrown a massive bashon Friday night, stealing the limelight from pop princess Britney Spears who had booked out the Presidential suite of the luxury hotel for her stay in Ireland.

MANCHESTER, AS Morrissey once said, has so much to answer for, not least because it spawned two music-obsessed brothers who dreamed of being in a band. When the Gallaghers rambled on stage at Slane after energetic supports from The Prodigy and Kasabian, it might have occurred to them that playing to 80,000 people is a long way from hassling Johnny Marr to listen to your demo.
As they launched into RockRoll Star, the crowd pogoed in unison, shouting back the lyrics. Liam asked if they "liked a bit of liquid and smoke?" before a characteristic dig at anti-smokers and a raucous rendition of Cigarettes and Alcohol.
Those who think Oasis's best work is long behind them might argue that if this was 1994, it would be the gig of the year.
The band never bettered their first two albums and during newer material, there was - for this reviewer - the odd lull. Not so the fans, who were as devoted as they come. A girl standing nearby who had Noel Gallagher's signature tattooed on her back, urged the crowd to sing along to Morning Glory, pointing to the lyrics on her arm.
Liam might be the uber frontman, but this is very much Noel's band and when it was his turn to sing, Liam exited the stage. The sun glinted on the river as the older Gallagher belted out a heartfelt Masterplanto a sea of hands in the air. Liam dedicated Songbird "to my missus, who's probably in the bar" and when a solo Noel "double-dared" the crowd "not to sing along" on Half A World Away, the entire hill blatantly ignored the challenge. The biggest cheers of the night were, unsurprisingly, for back-to-back versions of Wonderwall, Supersonicand Live Forever. Even though there's something very unrock'n'roll about Slane and its sleepy, rustic setting, it's hard not to be won over by such a unique venue.
Tricky logistics aside, most people trudged home happily with Champagne Supernovaand the end-of-gig fireworks ringing in their ears.

Towers Of London reveal Liam Gallagher inspiration behind new songs
Towers Of London have revealed that they are working on a batch of new songs.
Writing on MySpace.com/towersoflondon, guitarist Dirk Tourette blogged that they have spent the past few months in their recording studio ("the air raid shelter"), working on new songs including 'President', 'Legslide' and 'Heard It On The Stereo'.
"Well, we have been sat down the air raid shelter for months now like the three stooges just really f***in havin' a larf and remembering what it was all about in the first place," Tourette wrote. "Getting in peoples faces, fighting against the pricks and pissing against the wind. But mostly playing fast speedy rock 'n' roll."
Tourette promised that the new songs – which are likely to feature on the follow up to 2008 album 'Fizzy Pop' – will be "real headshakers".
He went on to quote Oasis' Liam Gallagher in his blog by saying "It doesn't matter if its outta tune...cos your cool."
Gallagher can be heard saying that on Oasis' cover of The Beatles' 'I Am The Walrus', which was released as the B-side to 'Cigarettes And Alcohol' in 1994.
Before signing out, Tourette added that Towers Of London will post some new demos online "soon".

Oasis frontman on Wales
ROWDY Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher gave more than a great performance when his band were in Cardiff 10 days ago.
He gave one Welsh fan a forthright take on playing in the capital, life on the road and what he thinks of Welsh songstress Duffy.
The Manchester megastar said he enjoys coming to Wales “when you get in for nowt”.
Referring to the band’s trip over the Severn Bridge he said: “Yeah, I don’t know about that ******* paying to get in, but we got in tonight for nowt.
“We were stuck in traffic and the police came and helped us in, so that was nice.
“We had our money ready and everything but they just went ‘You’re all right’.
“Miracles do happen.”
He went on to tell Cardiff super fan Louise Davies that he “didn’t know there was a Welsh music scene” – even though his band was being supported at the Millennium Stadium gig by Welsh group The Peth.
“I’ve not heard the ******* Peth man,” the 36-year-old singer said. “I got here late.
“Nah, I do like Rhys, I like The Super Furry Animals and all that stuff.
“Stereophonics are cool and the Manic Street Preachers.”
He had harsh words for retro soul star, Grammy and Brit Award-winning Duffy.
“She was all right ’til she opened her mouth.
“The music’s alright, know what I mean?
“Until she did that ******* stupid advert and things like that.
“It’s ******* ridiculous.”
