The ultimate anthem, 21/09/2006, by peter123 |
| Crowds around the world sing the chorus at the top of their voice at gigs. 11 years on and it still never fails to evoke a singalong. |

Brilliant!, 21/09/2006, by flashpoint914 |
Starting from the art cover: fantastic! I love it.
The songs: DLBIA is one of the greatest Oasis songs ever, no one sane could disagree. Step out sounds amazing both studio and performed live (watch Familiar to Millions DVD), Underneath the sky is a really cool b-side included in The Masterplan which means something I don't need to explain. And last but not least COFTN is an awesome rock song, a really great cover by Oasis.
So yeah, I love it. |

BRINGS BACK THE SUMMER OF '96, 29/07/2006, by STEALTHBEE |
| A classic without a doubt, Noels relishes his 'front man' role (as Liam couldn't hit the notes) maybe it wouldn't have been such a global hit, as a lot of people like this song 'who hate oasis songs' because it doesn't have that Liam arrogance to it, well i say..."SOMETIMES THATS WHAT WE ALL NEED!" Underneath the sky, another classic noel acoutic track, written from the influence of a diary/note pad found by Noel in a park (sounds like a business mans suicide note put beautifully into a song.) STEP OUT is AMAZING, Noel rocks like he's never rocked before, he would have 'took the roof off' when he performed this track live in Murryfield 'if it had one'.(Stevie Wonder will be SEEING GREEN with ENVY...'think about it?') Cum on feel the noize is a perfect cover for Liam to hit back with this high pitched original made his own with his distinctive rock n roll pipes, thank Noddy! |
