Oasis' best kept secret and one of their sources of best quality songs is their b-sides on their singles. 'The Masterplan' puts the best of those hard-to-find treasures into a great collection. 'Acquiesce', perhaps the quintessential Oasis tune and the grandiose title track are the cream of the crop. Also great is their live cover of The Beatles' 'I Am The Walrus' and two acoustic songs sung by Noel Gallagher, 'Talk Tonight', and 'Half The World Away'. If I could have my choice as to some other great b-sides that didn't make the cut I would definitely say 'Round Are Way' and 'D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?' would've been a nice addition. My favourite songs from this are 'Acquiesce', 'The Masterplan', 'The Swamp Song' and 'Going Nowhere'. |
