An essential Oasis album, 26/11/2008, by Toxodon |
I originally wrote this review for rateyourmusic.com
'Don't Believe The Truth' is where Oasis really started to come back to life so-to-speak. It still has some forgettable songs like 'Guess God Thinks I'm Abel' and 'The Meaning Of Soul' but it's more than made up for by the great Noel-sung songs like 'Part Of The Queue', 'The Importance Of Being Idle' and 'Mucky Fingers'. The first single 'Lyla' is an OK song but I can see why it was pushed by the record company as being a more pop-radio type of song. Overall it has a very retro feel and some great use of acoustic guitar. The Andy Bell written 'Keep The Dream Alive' is a surprisingly great song. My favourite songs from this are 'Part Of The Queue', 'The Importance Of Being Idle', 'Let There Be Love', and 'Mucky Fingers'. |

wonderful album, 12/05/2008, by meclarkester1994 |
| Some brilliant songs in this album.my favourite song from this album is probably The Importance Of Being Idle which is a great song written by Noel. But all the songs on this album are brilliant and songs contributed by many of the band members. A brilliant album by Oasis. |

Believe in this album!, 11/05/2008, by catney11 |
| A true return to form for Oasis. What a great album, that features some epic tunes in Let There Be Love, Love Like a Bomb, and Guess God Thinks I'm Abel. Liam with the help of Gem really comes into his own in the song writting department in this one. My favourite album from them. |
