We welcome you to participate in the Oasis Fanatic Community, however as with all social circles there are a few rules you must abide by in order to maintain your active membership with us.

We are building the highest quality community experience for all of our members and following these guidelines is the best way to maintain a quality environment for all age groups. There is not an automated warning system for violators. If we find that you break any of these rules, your posting privileges will be removed as described in "Oasis Fanatic Suspension & Ban Rules" below. These rules are very basic and we hope that you read them fully.

Please contact us if you believe someone is not acting responsibly. Oasis Fanatic reserves the right to change or update these rules at any time without notice. Thank you for your co-operation.

Oasis Fanatic Account Policy

• Each member must only have one Oasis Fanatic account without exception.
• Please request DaVincentCode or flashpoint914 to delete your duplicate accounts.
• Members may only represent themselves and not impersonate any other person.
• Members may not impersonate any entity that they are not truly affiliated with or represent any entity without approval from them.
• Members may not post on Oasis Fanatic with duplicate accounts.

Oasis Fanatic Offensive Submissions

• Harassing, degrading and intimidating remarks that are hateful toward an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability or nationality.
• Pornographic content and/or links that depicts a human being engaged in actual sexual conduct including but not limited to (a) sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex, or (b) bestiality, or (c) masturbation, or (c) sadistic or masochistic abuse, or (d) lascivious exhibition of the female breasts, genitals or pubic area of any person.
• Posts about illegal activities.
• Posting of private emails, private messages, chat logs, internet messenger conversations, images, and other personal information are not allowed without the permission of the other person.
• Selling or promotion of your services or products.
• Links or URLs to images or web sites containing nudity, pornography, blood or gore.
• Spamming: Posting of advertisements, links to your web site(s), and duplicate entries.
• Trolling: Intentionally causing disruption, in the form of posting inflammatory, off-topic, insulting, threats, or otherwise inappropriate messages.
• Troll or spam other people's forums to promote Oasis Fanatic as it gives this web site a bad reputation.
• Encouraging other members to ask for your account to be un-banned.
• Threats to commit any offence as defined in the "Oasis Fanatic Offensive Submissions" and "Oasis Fanatic Forum Offensive Submissions".

Oasis Fanatic Forum Offensive Submissions

• Posting of any of the offensive material defined in "Oasis Fanatic Offensive Submissions".
• Altering other members' forum quotes.
• Abuse of the "Report this post to the moderator" submission form. This is to be used only to report members or forum topics which clearly violate the rules, not because you don't like a person or their posts.
• Forum topics or posts about suspended/banned members will not be allowed.
• Forum topics or posts for suggesting improvements to the web site or the debating of our site rules will only be allowed in "The Wonderwall" forum. They should be done in a respectful manner and generate worthwhile discussion.
• Cross-posting. If you have a topic, place it in the appropriate forum. Do not post a topic in more than one forum.
• Anything that may be deemed as disruptive or offensive that doesn't fall under the above categories will be handled by forum moderators and webmasters on a case by case basis.

Oasis Fanatic Forum Topic Closure Rules

• Forum topics that contain repeated posts about the same arguments over and over.
• Forum topics that contain any trolling behaviour.
• Spin-off forum topics of an existing forum topic or a forum topic that was closed.
• If at any time a forum moderator determines that the forum topic has taken a disrespectful, pointless, or circular turn, it will be closed.
• Forum topics asking why a forum topic was closed. If it was closed, the subject is no longer open for discussion on the forums. If you have issues with the closing of a thread, email or send a private message to a forum moderator if you wish to discuss further.

Oasis Fanatic Suspension & Ban Rules

• An offence is any behaviour as defined in the "Oasis Fanatic Offensive Submissions" and "Oasis Fanatic Forum Offensive Submissions".
• Warnings will be posted by a forum moderator and/or webmaster about the offence in the offending forum topic or a new forum topic will be posted about the offence that occurred outside the forum section.
• Warnings may also be issued in a private message from a forum moderator and/or webmaster.
• A 14 day suspension will be issued if the warning for the 1st offence was ignored.
• A 28 day suspension will be issued if the warning for the 2nd offence was ignored.
• A lifetime ban will be issued if the warning for the 3rd offence was ignored.
• Registering a duplicate account during the suspension period or after being banned will result in an immediate lifetime ban of the duplicate account and existing account without warnings.
• No warning will be given if a member publicly threatens to commit an offence as defined in the "Oasis Fanatic Offensive Submissions" and "Oasis Fanatic Forum Offensive Submissions".
• Forum moderators who receive a ban will automatically be demoted to a normal member and will be disallowed to become a forum moderator in the future.
• Award winners who receive a ban will have their awards taken away from them and given to the person who was placed below them in the polls. In the rare event that all potential winners of the award are banned, the award will be deleted.

Oasis Fanatic Dispute Handling

• If another member is posting offensive material about you on Oasis Fanatic, please use the "Report this post to the moderator" link in the forums to alert the forum moderators if the offensive material was posted in the forums. Otherwise, please contact DaVincentCode or flashpoint914 via private messages or through the contact us form.
• Please refrain from taking matters into your own hands and start an argument in the forums, which may result in the both of you getting banned regardless of who started the offensive submissions.
• If you wish to settle a personal dispute with another member on your own, please do so outside of Oasis Fanatic. You may choose to use email, Skype, Windows Live Messenger or whatever medium you want as it is none of our business how you do it as long as it is outside of Oasis Fanatic.
